OSAGE VALLEY ELECTRIC COOP
CELEBRATES 74th ANNUAL MEETING
Osage Valley Electric Cooperative celebrated 74 years of providing electricity to the rural areas of West Central Missouri. The annual meeting was held on Thursday, August 9th at the Benson Center in Clinton, Missouri with a crowd of 558members registered for the meeting.
Food was served to members, their families and to the guests of the Cooperative. About 1200 were served. The membership was entertained by The Link Family.
A $5.00 credit that will be applied to their September electric bill was given to each member registering. Credit certificates and other gifts were given away during the evening.
The business meeting featured the election of three members to the Cooperative’s Board of Directors. Three incumbent directors were re-elected to the Board to serve three-year terms. They were Chelle Black representing Bates County; Ray Heuser representing Cass County and Kenneth Knight representing St. Clair-Henry Counties. Reports covering the 2011 operations of the Cooperative were made by President, P.D. Kircher; Treasurer, Ron Steuck; and General Manager, Daryl Veatch.
