There are several benefits of sending your students to rural school districts. There are many highly-rated schools across West Central Missouri, where students will have the resources and attention they need to thrive.

Many schools in the region boast small class sizes, which allow teachers to better support each of their pupils. Large classes harm both overachievers, as well as students who need a little extra help. It's also easier for students to get bored or stop paying attention in a large class. With smaller class sizes, students can get help when they need it, and learn at their own pace.

Participate in the Osage Valley Youth Tour Essay Contest

If you are the parent of a high school student who is interested in politics or public policy, encourage them to submit an essay to the Osage Valley Electric Cooperative Youth Tour contest. They could win a free trip to Washington DC, to meet representatives of Congress and learn how utilities work in the United States. Runners-up in the contest can win a trip to Jefferson City to learn about government on a state level.
